Phoenix, Arizona - Arizona Governor Doug Ducey: "Congratulations to President-elect Donald Trump and my friend Mike Pence on a great and historic victory. This is an exciting moment, and I look forward to working with the new president and administration to expand opportunity for all our citizens. Now is the time for elected leaders to come together, heal the divisions of the past, and work to finally provide Americans some relief from the federal government. I know that I join other governors across the country in standing ready to partner with the new administration and Congress to empower states and citizens, in keeping with the principles of our republic.

False Alarm Reduction Program

Yuma, Arizona - The Yuma Police Department wants to remind everyone that the on December 1, 2016 the grace period for the False Alarm Reduction Program will be over.  Starting December 1st the ordinance requires businesses and residents to pay a series of fines for false alarm calls, beginning with the third offense.  Fines start at $100 or a False Alarm Awareness Class and reach up to $250.

Phoenix, Arizona - Young patients, their families and invited guests were treated to a visit with amazing animals from the Phoenix Zoo including a prairie dog, kinkajou, giant Flemish rabbit and armadillos yesterday, at a gathering at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. The special event served to announce a groundbreaking collaboration of the San Diego Zoo, the Phoenix Zoo and Phoenix Children’s Hospital, with the arrival of San Diego Zoo Kids.

In the forensics lab, examiners determine, using advanced microscopy and chemical analysis, that the characteristics of that sliver match those of the broken glass in the burgled home.

Yuma, Arizona - Stargazers can enjoy the cosmos at the Foothills Library! The library’s astronomy group will meet at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 17th, in the Foothills Library parking lot, 13226 E. South Frontage Road. Lawn chairs, binoculars, and telescopes welcome.
