Phoenix, Arizona - Clayton Begay, 43, of Kayenta, Arizona, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge John Tuchi to 14 years’ imprisonment, followed by five years of supervised release. Begay had previously pleaded guilty to one count of second degree murder on August 2018.

Phoenix, Arizona - On February 4, 2019, Jayson Lee Yazzie, 40, of Tuba City, Arizona, a member of the Navajo Nation, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Diane J. Humetewa to 216 months in prison, followed by a term of three years of supervised release. Yazzie had previously pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter and assault resulting in serious bodily injury.
