Phoenix, Arizona - Arizona’s job growth ranked second in the nation last year, according to new data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Arizona added 84,400 jobs added between December 2018 and December 2019 for 2.8 percent job growth.

The legislation passed with unanimous support following a special session of the Arizona Legislature and took aggressive steps to prevent and address opioid use disorder, hold bad actors accountable, expand access to treatment, and provide life-saving resources to first responders, law enforcement and community partners.

Escondido, California - Wildlife care specialists are working with the African elephant herd at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park to find out more about a disease that was recently identified as a threat to the species. Elephant endotheliotropic herpesvirus (also known by the acronym EEHV) is carried by both Asian and African elephant species, but until last year had been associated most frequently with deaths of young Asian elephants.
