Glendale, Arizona - Arizona Coyotes President of Hockey Operations & General Manager John Chayka announced today that the Coyotes have acquired defenseman Jacob Graves and a conditional sixth round choice in the 2019 Entry Draft from the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for forward Ryan MacInnis.

Yuma, Arizona - We are starting to receive reports of a new scam going around the Yuma area affecting our local business community. Several of our local businesses are receiving calls telling them they owe money for items ordered. The scammer will name items that could be legitimately ordered for that business. The employee is told to get cash, exchange it for pesos, take it to a bank in San Luis, Mexico and deposit it. The scammer will either know the manager’s name or trick the employee into saying the manager’s name and say they knew about the order. Another story the suspect is telling is that they are from corporate and money needs to be deposited. Some of the businesses affected by this scam have lost several thousand dollars.

New York - Five U.S. individuals were charged today and yesterday for their roles in three separate elder fraud schemes. The schemes collectively defrauded tens of thousands of Americans, many of whom were elderly, out at least a hundred million dollars. Four defendants were charged in the Eastern District of New York, the other was charged in Southern District of Florida.

Hartford, Connecticut - A federal jury in Hartford, Connecticut returned guilty verdicts against a man for his conduct related to a scheme to convert trade secrets belonging to a defense contractor based in Groton, Connecticut, related to, among others, an innovative naval prototype being developed for the U.S. Navy, Office of Naval Research, announced Acting Assistant Attorney General John P. Cronan of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division and U.S. Attorney John H. Durham of the District of Connecticut.
Justice Department Files Sexual Harassment Lawsuit Against Owner of Rental Property

Cullman, Alabama - The Justice Department today announced that it has filed a lawsuit alleging that Randy Hames, a residential property owner and landlord in Cullman, Alabama, subjected female tenants to egregious sexual harassment in violation of the Fair Housing Act. Along with Randy Hames, the Department’s complaint names his residential property company, Hames Marina, LLC, as a defendant.
