Yuma, Arizona - The Yuma Police Department in collaboration with the Drug Enforcement Administration, Arizona Department of Public Safety, Yuma County Sheriff’s Office, San Luis Police Department, Somerton Police Department, Wellton Police Department, Arizona Western College Police Department, Cocopah Police Department, Quechan Police Department and the County Attorney’s Office are collectively working together to eradicate “Spice” and “Bath salts” in Yuma County.
Yuma, Arizona - The Drug Enforcement Administration along with state and local law enforcement and community partners announced a sixth nationwide prescription drug “Take-Back” initiative that seeks to prevent increased pill abuse and theft. The City of Yuma Police Department has agreed to take part in this initiative and will be collecting potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs for destruction on Saturday, April 27th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
