Yuma, Arizona - Not only has the artwork of Angel Luna, Arizona Western College Professor of Fine Arts, been accepted in two juried art shows, but the artist himself has been profiled in a newly published book about contemporary sculptors.
Three of Luna's ceramic tiles are currently on exhibit in the Silver City Clay Festival Juried Art Tile Show in Silver City, New Mexico, which runs from August 3 through September 3, 2012. The three sculpted terracotta tiles with vitreous slip and glaze are titled "Gila Mountain Study One," "Gila Mountain Study Two," and "Gila Mountain Study Three."
Two of Luna's stoneware ceramic pieces, each a set of traveler tea bowls with a tray, will also be exhibited in the South Cobb Arts Alliance 25th National Juried Art Exhibition at the Mable House Art Center in Mableton, GA, from August 23 through October 1.
Luna has also been profiled in the new book, "Contemporary Sculptors: 84 International Artists," by Danijela Kracun and Charles McFadden.
