Yuma, Arizona - Sunday, at 3:08 pm. Yuma Police Department Officers were dispatched to Thunderbird Plaza, located at 2855 S. 4th Avenue in reference to an Armed Robbery. 

Through the initial investigation, officers learned 1 male suspect entered the business and displayed a handgun.  The suspect fled the store on foot running eastbound towards Walgreens parking lot with an unknown disclosed amount of money.  The suspect was seen getting into a white Ford Fusion.  A second male suspect, who was waiting outside the business, took off running with the first suspect. 

At approximately 9:00 pm, the suspect that entered the business and displayed the handgun turned himself in to the Yuma Police Department.  He has been identified as 26 year old Luther Byers.   Byers was arrested, and booked into the Yuma County Jail on numerous charges.

Second suspect, identified only as a black male, is still outstanding. 

No injuries were reported reference this case.
