Yuma, Arizona - Arizona Western College invites the community to the main campus for the 16th Annual AWC Academic Open House Family Night on November 16th from 5:30-8:30pm.

For over a decade, thousands from the community have joined students, faculty and staff for a great night of food, fun and education. The purpose of the AWC Academic Open House Family Night is to welcome the community to the campus. Families and students enjoy a variety of game and food booths highlighting the college's academic programs and services in a fun and informative night of entertainment.

Family Night began in 2001 as a means to highlight AWC’s technical programs on campus (welding, automotive, etc.) but has since expanded to include the entire college as well as NAU-Yuma.

At Family Night, learning is transparent, but real: student club members gain leadership skills through developing creative ways to raise money by selling food; a child experiences the value of education by observing a parent's interaction with faculty; community partners build relationships that remove barriers to higher education and promote career opportunities.

The entire family is invited to attend. In addition to food booths, guests will find academic programs featured, game booths, a petting zoo, a hot air balloon, music, various raffle prizes and a lot more for all ages.
