Yuma, Arizona - The Yuma Police Department would like to inform the community about recent reports of students receiving threats and harassing messages via “Snap Chat”, a Social Media Application.
Unknown persons are friend requesting students through “Snap Chat” and demanding nude photos. If the student does not comply, threats are made to hurt their families.
Parents please talk to your children and be aware of what Social Media Applications your children are using. Also make sure that the settings are set to private and the GPS locations are not shared. Awareness and education can be used as tools to help keep students safe.
