Washington< DC - From August 14-18, Ambassador-at-Large for International Religious Freedom David Saperstein will travel to Mexico City and Pachuca, Hidalgo to discuss religious freedom with government officials, religious leaders, and civil society representatives.

In Mexico City, Ambassador Saperstein will meet with various religious groups to discuss the unique challenges and opportunities for their communities in Mexico. He will also meet with government officials to discuss the importance of protecting religious freedom, human rights and continuing to promote tolerance.

In Pachuca, Hidalgo, the Ambassador will meet with civil society and state government representatives to discuss reports of religious discrimination in some rural and indigenous communities.
