Washington, DC - Special Presidential Envoy for the Global Coalition to Counter ISIL Brett McGurk will travel to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, July 22–26, to meet with senior Emirati and Saudi government officials to follow up on the recent Counter ISIL Ministerial and to coordinate next steps in the Counter ISIL campaign.
During his meetings, Special Presidential Envoy McGurk will discuss continuing cooperation and engagement to further the coalition’s campaign to ensure a lasting defeat of ISIL in Iraq and Syria, as well as efforts to counter ISIL’s affiliates and support networks.
