Yuma, Arizona - The Yuma City Council will consider a request to change the land use designation from low density residential to medium density residential, for property located at the northwest corner of 11th Street and Avenue A during the regular City Council meeting to begin at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15, inside the Council Chambers of City Hall, One City Plaza.

This item originally came before the City Council on Feb. 3, 2016, was continued to a later meeting, then referred back to the Planning & Zoning Commission at the applicant's request to consider an alternative, less intense land use.

The applicant has revised their original request, which was for a change to high density residential land use designation. The applicant is now seeking to change the land use to medium density residential.

At the start of the regular City Council meeting, there will be a check presentation allocating monies from the Cocopah Indian Tribe's gaming revenue funds to two agencies. Additionally, a quarterly recognition for boards and commissions will be held.
