Yuma, Arizona - CITY OF YUMA REGULAR CITY COUNCIL WORKSESSION AGENDA - YUMA CITY HALL - COUNCIL CHAMBERS - ONE CITY PLAZA, YUMA, ARIZONA - TUESDAY, OCTOBER 14, 2008 - 5:00 P.M.

CALL TO ORDER

I. SUMMARY OF CURRENT EVENTS: City Administrator’s notice to the City Council of current events impacting the City. This is intended to be informational only and no discussion, deliberation or decision will occur on this item.

II. REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA OF OCTOBER 15, 2008: City Council discussion and/or questions to City staff on any Regular City Council Meeting agenda item. (For a listing of agenda items, the October 15, 2008, Regular City Council meeting agenda is posted adjacent to this worksession agenda and is available in the Office of the City Clerk and on the City’s website at www.YumaAz.gov)

III. YUMA CROSSING NATIONAL HERITAGE AREA MID-POINT REPORT: Briefing by Gary Munk, Chair, Patty Ware, Vice-Chair and Charles Flynn, Executive Director, on the Yuma Crossing National Heritage Area’s mid-point report.

IV. CITY OF YUMA BOARDS, COMMISSIONS, COMMITTEES: City Council discussion regarding appointments to the following boards, commissions and committees. Appointments to a board, commission or committee will occur at a Regular City Council meeting. Western Arizona Council of Governments - Regional Council on Aging: one term to expire on 10/20/2011. Water and Sewer Commission: one unexpired term due to expire 7/6/2012.

V. ADDITIONAL ITEMS FOR POSSIBLE DISCUSSION

1. City Council report on meetings/events attended - City Council report on issues discussed in meetings/events attended by a City Council representative in their official capacity as the City’s representative during the period of September 30 - October 14, 2008. City Council questions regarding the update must be limited solely for clarification purposes. If further discussion is warranted, the issue will be added to a future worksession agenda for a detailed briefing.
2. City Council report of upcoming meetings.
3. City Council request for agenda items to be placed on future agendas.

VI. EXECUTIVE SESSION: An Executive Session may be held during this meeting for personnel, legal, litigation and real estate matters pursuant to A.R.S. Section 38-431.03 A (1), (3), (4), & (7).
