Yuma, Arizona  - Eileen G. Knight has been named Associate Director for Admissions for the Yuma Branch Campus of Northern Arizona University, following a nation-wide search. Knight’s appointment was effective August 11, 2008.

Knight has relocated to Yuma from Boston, Massachusetts, where she served in several capacities for the Berklee College of Music. Most recently she was the Associate Director of Operations in their Office of Admissions. Her professional work in admissions is extensive, also having served Massachusetts Communications College as Assistant Dean of Admissions for several years.

In announcing this appointment, Sue McKinnon, Northern Arizona University’s Associate Vice President for Enrollment Services stated “We are fortunate to have Eileen joining us. She will be serving the greater Yuma community in an effort to assist students with the admission and enrollment process to NAU-Yuma.”

At NAU-Yuma, Knight will be responsible for meeting with high school and community college counselors, visiting with prospective students and their parents, and planning and participating in career fairs, among other duties. She is also available to speak with business and community groups regarding trends in higher education student recruitment or retention.

When not working on behalf of students, Knight spends her time either sharing her talents and energy as a community volunteer, or enjoying her hobbies of antiquing, gardening, running, swimming, and walking.
