Yuma, Arizona - On Saturday, July 26, 2008 at 6:59 pm, Yuma Police Officers responded to the East Main Canal near 4th Avenue for a report of man in the canal. Officers and fire personnel arrived in the area and subsequently removed the body of Michael Soliz Corona, 46 years old of Yuma. Corona was last seen alive on Friday, July 25 around 7:43 pm. Corona had no visible signs of injury and his death is an apparent drowning, however the circumstances of how or where he entered the waterway remain unclear.
