Yuma, Arizona - Some City of Yuma residents may notice slight fluctuations during daytime hours on Thursday, as the City's Utilities Department will be testing the zone boundaries of its water system.

Testing will take place on Thursday only in parts of the City that are south of 16th Street and west of Avenue 3E.  The tests involve activities such as opening and closing valves in various locations in order to collect data on the performance of the system so that the City will be aware of how its infrastructure would perform if new construction were to take place within the tested zones.

There are no significant pressure fluctuations expected, but if for some reason changes do occur, it will be corrected by the end of the day,” said Hank Baer, Utilities Director for the City of Yuma.

Residents and businesses who may notice a change in water system performance that constitutes an emergency may call (928) 373-4500 to report the problem.
