Construction Trades Programs Opens Doors To New Students - AWC PDF Print E-mail

Yuma, Arizona - The Arizona Western College Construction Trades Programs will be hosting program orientation Monday to Thursday during the month of July and August for students, parents and area businesses. Carpentry Professor Frank Orta and Electrical Wiring Professor David Sisson at the AWC Construction Trades Center will conduct program information and facility tours. 

The AWC Construction Trades Program provides job training and skill upgrades for employment in high demand, high paying construction technologies such as Air-conditioning, Carpentry, Drafting, Electrical Wiring, Plumbing and Welding. AWC Construction Trades Program classrooms are centrally located at the Construction Trades Center and on the AWC main campus.

The AWC Construction Trades Center is located in the Yuma Commerce Center at 7016 E. 30th Street just off Araby Road. Students can register on site. The orientation and registration can be completed in as little as one hour. This program is funded with assistance from the Department of Labor and partnerships with area businesses. Financial aid is available to qualifying students.
