Yuma, Arizona - The City of Yuma Fire Department engine and personnel that were assisting with the current California wildfire situation had been scheduled to be sent home, but were instead redeployed to the “BTU Lightning Fire” near Chico. They have been assigned to protect structures in the path of the fire.

The YFD engine company is accompanied by engines and firefighters from the Calexico Fire Department, Imperial Fire Department, Holtville Fire Department, and the Brawley Fire Department.

All four members are in good spirits and are doing fine.
