| Yuma County Superintendent Seeks Pro-Con Arguments for Election Pamphlet |

Yuma, Arizona - The Yuma County School Superintendent has given public notice of calling for a Special Unification Election to take place Tuesday, November 4, 2008. As with eight other Arizona School Superintendents, Tom Tyree will be producing a publicity pamphlet regarding the ballot measure that will be mailed to each household of registered voters in Yuma County. The balance of the pamphlet will include a description of the plan, factors considered by the School District Redistricting Commission and arguments in favor or opposition of the plan. These arguments may be submitted by members of the governing boards of the affected school districts and/or by any elector who wishes to submit an argument. Any elector wishing to file arguments advocating or opposing the ballot measure must do so by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22, 2008. Arguments cannot exceed more than 300 words. Pursuant to Arizona Revised Statute section 15-481, Subsection B.9, the Yuma County School Superintendent will review all factual statements in the written arguments and correct any inaccurate statements of fact. Filings must be received in the Yuma County School Superintendent’s Office located at 210 S. 1st Avenue. Further inquires may be made by calling 928-373-1006. |
