Yuma, Arizona - The Yuma Police Department wants everyone to have a safe and enjoyable summer when visiting our local parks. Due to increased summer activities, the Yuma Police Department will be conducting frequent patrols of the Colorado River and surrounding parks. Be aware of your surroundings and report any suspicious activity or persons to the Yuma Police Department. Here are some reminders when visiting a City of Yuma Park.* All city parks are open from one hour before sunrise until 11pm. * No Glass containers of any kind are allowed in any City Park. * No Alcoholic beverages are allowed without an Alcohol Permit. * No Vehicles allowed on the park grounds, outside the parking lot. * Please pick up your trash when you are done and use approved receptacles to dispose of it. * Please pay close attention to your children in or around the water. The river can have unpredictable currents and depths. With the increase in use of the parks we are beginning to see more watercraft in the river. When operating a powered watercraft near the park areas use extreme caution and watch for swimmers. * You may obtain a Ramada reservation or an Alcohol Permit from the City of Yuma Parks & Recreation Department located at Yuma City Hall (928) 373-5243. You must have your Ramada or Alcohol Permit in your possession during your visit at the park. Violations of the above can result in a criminal arrest or citation. |
