Yuma, Arizona - The Yuma Police Department in cooperation with Yuma School District #1, will be hosting several presentations by Dale “Mad Dog” Messmer on “Smart Choices for Young Futures” based on his Straight Talk Outreach Program or S.T.O.P. Dale “Mad Dog” Messmer’s Straight Talk Outreach Program has garnered the endorsement and support of a multitude of law enforcement agencies, juvenile courts and educational systems across the United States. “Mad Dog” is an ex-con telling the kids like it is. His aim is to save young people from the dangers of drugs, gangs and violence. “Mad Dog” informs his audience about the harsh and brutal realities of life behind bars. Presentations for school faculty & students will begin on Monday, May 19th through May 22nd and will occur at Castle Dome Middle School, Ron Watson Middle School, Gila Vista Junior High School, Fourth Avenue Junior High School and Desert View Academy. Dale “Mad Dog” Messmer will hold one public presentation that is free of charge and open to anyone in the community that would like to attend; however the presentation is designed for middle school aged persons and above. The public presentation is scheduled at: Mary Post School Auditorium 400 West 4th Street Wednesday, May 21, 2008 6:00 to 8:00 pm (doors open @ 5:00 pm) |
