Yuma, Arizona - This morning at 1:56 am, Yuma Police Officers were dispatched to the 2400 block West 3rd Street in reference to shots fired.

Upon arrival, officers located one 19 year old male victim with a gun shot wound. He was transported to the Yuma Regional Medical Center with life threatening injuries. The victim has since been flown to a Phoenix area hospital for treatment.

The initial investigation revealed the victim was shot, in what appears to be a gang related shooting, while outside of a residence in the 2400 block West 3rd Street.
