Possesson of Drugs for Sale, Probation Violation PDF Print E-mail

Yuma, Arizona - On Thursday, at 6:30 pm, Yuma Police Officers assisted Yuma County Adult Probation with the arrest of a local probationer in the 100 block North Magnolia Avenue.

The investigation began after a Yuma County Adult Probation Officer observed a rifle at the residence of David Correa, 40 years old of Yuma. As a convicted felon, Correa is prohibited from possessing weapons.

Correa was contacted and arrested after police located two pistols and a rifle. Methamphetamine and marijuana was also located by a United States Border Patrol drug detection canine.

Correa was booked into the Yuma County Adult Detention Facility for the following charges:

  • Possession of dangerous drugs for sale
  • Possession of marijuana for sale
  • Two counts of misconduct involving weapons

Another occupant, Krista Alvarez, 37 years old of Yuma, was arrested for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for violation of a court order.
