CALL TO ORDER

I. SUMMARY OF CURRENT EVENTS: City Administrator’s notice to the City Council of current events impacting the City. This is intended to be informational only and no discussion, deliberation or decision will occur on this item.

II. REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA OF APRIL 15, 2009: City Council

discussion and/or questions to City staff on any Regular City Council Meeting agenda item. (For a listing of agenda items, the April 15, 2009, Regular City Council meeting agenda is posted adjacent to this worksession agenda and is available in the Office of the City Clerk and on the City’s website at www.YumaAz.gov. Briefings are scheduled on the following Regular City Council meeting agenda items:

• Ordinance O2009-28 Zoning Code Text Amendment: Chapter 154-008 (A)

Zoning Administrator

• Ordinance O2009-30 Compensation and Benefits for Municipal Judge

III. CLEAN AND BEAUTIFUL COMMISSION: Presentation by Joel Olea, Public Works

Street/Solid Waste Manager, and Mary Ann Easterday, Chair of the Clean and Beautiful

Commission, on the Clean and Beautiful Commission’s annual report, including past

accomplishments and future goals.

IV. CITY OF YUMA BOARDS, COMMISSIONS, COMMITTEES, OFFICES: City Council

discussion regarding appointments to the following boards, commissions, committees

and offices. Appointments to a board, commission or committee will occur at a Regular

City Council meeting.

_ Clean and Beautiful Commission: one unexpired term of 12/11/2010

_ Community Tree Board: one term to expire 4/1/2012

_ Design Review Commission: one unexpired term of 08/17/2010

_ Historic District Review Commission(member of the Rio Colorado Chapter

of Arizona Historical Society): one unexpired term of 6/30/2009

_ Residential Advisory Board (Plumbing Contractor): one unexpired term of

9/1/2011

_ Water and Sewer Commission: one unexpired term of 07/6/2010

_ Yuma County Library District Board of Trustees: one term to expire June

30, 2012

V. ADDITIONAL ITEMS FOR POSSIBLE DISCUSSION

a. City Council report on meetings/events attended – City Council report on issues

discussed in meetings/events attended by a City Council representative in their

official capacity as the City’s representative during the period of March 31 – April

14, 2009. City Council questions regarding the update must be limited solely for

clarification purposes. If further discussion is warranted, the issue will be added

to a future worksession agenda for a detailed briefing.

b. City Council report of upcoming meetings.

c. City Council request for agenda items to be placed on future agendas.

VI. EXECUTIVE SESSION: An Executive Session may be held during this meeting for personnel, legal, litigation and real estate matters pursuant to A.R.S. Section 38-431.03

A (1), (3), (4), & (7).
