Yuma, Arizona - The Border Patrol’s Yuma, Ariz. sector participated in various holiday oriented charity drives benefiting Yuma-area citizens in need. Border Patrol agents and support personnel contributed to four different charities that provide gifts and assistance to families in need during this special time of the year. The Yuma Sector’s personnel donated to the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program, Toys for Tots, the Yuma Community Food Bank and a toy drive for the Cocopah Nation. “The Yuma Sector takes immense pride in assisting those less fortunate in our community during this season of giving,” said Acting Assistant Chief Patrol Agent Betty Mills-Carilli. The Yuma Sector donated more than 200 toys along with approximately 280 pounds of food to the less fortunate. In addition to contributions, agents of the Wellton Station and Santa Claus personally delivered Angel Tree gifts to their recipients in the east Yuma County area. |
