Yuma, Arizona - Whether you’re a professional groundskeeper, landscaper or facilities manager or if you simply enjoy keeping your yard a luscious green all year round, the annual Sports Turf and Equipment Show is for you.

Featured guest speaker is Yuma native and 2006-2007 University of Arizona National Championship Softball team member Chelsea Mesa.

Registration is just $10 per person.  On-site registration for participants will be held from 7 to 8 a.m. the day of the event.  Participants and vendors can register in advance with a credit card by calling (928) 373-5243.

“This is a positive training experience offering guest speakers, a trade and equipment show, various training seminars, a panel discussion, and our famous tri-tip lunch,” said Larry Munoz, Grounds Maintenance Supervisor for Yuma Parks and Recreation.  “We are offering you an opportunity to learn something new, kick tires, network with others in the field, and socialize.”

In conjunction with the Turf Show is the Sports Turf Golf Tournament on Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at Desert Hills Golf Course.  Cost is $60 per person and includes green fees, cart, food, and prizes. Call Munoz at (928) 373-5221 with the names of your four team members.

Vendors for the Turf Show are invited to set up displays of their turf equipment, fertilizer, safety equipment, irrigation supplies and other related products and equipment giving everyone an opportunity to see and learn about their products and in some cases, try them out.   Vendor setup is $75 and includes lunch, one space and one table.  Please register in advance. Sponsorship opportunities are also available for vendors.
