The Arizona Western College Foundation named local leader Bob Olsen, the recipient of the first Prestigious Alumni Award. The ceremony was held during the Pre Game Show of the 2008 Homecoming football game, Saturday, November 5 at Veteran’s Memorial Stadium.

After graduating from AWC with an Associate’s of Applied Science in Business Administration, Olsen went on to receive a Bachelor’s Degree from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Webster University. Prior to pursuing his degree at AWC, Olsen completed training as a radiologic technician at St. Francis in Minnesota.

Besides his exemplary service to Healthy Communities and YRMC, Olsen has been highly involved in the Yuma community. His service includes the NAU-Yuma Advisory Board, Yuma Sunrise Rotary, Arizona Healthcare Board, Yuma County Chamber of Commerce Board, Greater Yuma Economic Development Corporation Board, Yuma City Planning & Zoning, Arizona and Yuma Town Hall, Safehouse, and the United Way of Yuma.

The Arizona Western College Foundation joins the Yuma community in thanking Mr. Robert (Bob) Olsen for his contributions and continued support.
