Yuma, Arizona - Arizona Western College is proud to announce Professor of English, Ric Jahna’s book release. Jahna’s book, ‘True Kin’ was released the first part of July. Ric’s book was published by the Ohio State University Press and was the winner of The Ohio State University Prize In Short Fiction.

Auditions Scheduled for Yuma Youth Choir

Yuma, Arizona - The Yuma Youth Choir 2008-2009 will be holding auditions in the AWC Band Room on Monday, August 18th from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm and Wednesday, August 20th from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm.  If you are interested in the Beginning Choir there is no need to audition. Auditions are only required for the Advanced and Elite Choirs. Rehearsals begin the week of August 25th.

CBP Officers in Arizona Thwart 4 Cocaine Smuggling Attempts in a Day

Tucson, Arizona - In four different events on Monday, U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Arizona entries of Douglas and Nogales stopped $2.3 million in cocaine from being smuggled into the United States, arresting four people in connection with the attempts.

Yuma, Arizona - United States Border Patrol agents assigned to the Yuma, Arizona station Tuesday evening arrested three illegal aliens with extensive criminal histories and immigration violations in two separate incidents.
