Attempted Homicide 'The Pub' - Information Sought

Yuma, Arizona - On Sunday, August 17, 2008 at approximately 12:45am, Yuma Police Department Officers responded to The Pub, 179 East 1st Street regarding a stabbing victim. Joseph Rasmusson was found with multiple stab wounds. Rasmusson was transported to Yuma Regional Medical Center where he underwent surgery. Rasmusson is listed in Critical Condition at YRMC.

Dog Owners Pursue Howl-istic Health

Yuma, Arizona - Maybe having your health go to the dogs isn't so bad after all. Wellness gurus say a new survey reveals the dawn of "howl-istic" practices among dog lovers nationwide. In fact, 92 percent of adults who have a dog agreed their pups' emotional health is as important to them as their physical health. Additionally, 86 percent of adults who have a dog said they value their dog's health as much as their own.

West Wetlands Park Water Rescue Training Accident

Yuma, Arizona - This morning at approximately 11:00 am, Yuma Fire Department personnel were conducting a training exercise on the Colorado River in an area 2 miles west of the West Wetlands Park. During that exercise, a training accident occurred involving a YFD jet ski used for swift water rescue.

A recent survey of 1,063 teens, conducted by The National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia University, found that 84 percent of teens prefer dinner with their families, while 13 percent prefer to eat dinner alone.
