Yuma, Arizona - In the early afternoon hours of Friday, December 5^th 2008, Yuma Police Officers and Detectives attempted to apprehend Gerry Michael Hight in the area of 20^th Street and 8^th Avenue. Mr. Hight was being sought in reference to a burglary investigation, and he had fled from police on at least two previous occasions.

Yuma, Arizona - The Northern Arizona University Alumni dinner on Friday night, December 5, 2008, will be held at the Putter Inn at Desert Hills Municipal Golf Course and will begin at 5:30 pm.  This dinner is a gathering of NAU and NAU-Yuma Alumni and supporters.  It is simply a time to have fun and reunite with friends and classmates. 

Yuma, Arizona - Arizona Western College's Student In Free Enterprise (SIFE) class and Tech Prep are teaming up to present ”Skills For Success,” on the AWC main campus. The students will spend the day learning to make themselves more marketable in the workforce.

Yuma, Arizona - On Thursday, December 18^th, Officer Alexander from the Yuma Police Department will present public safety tips at the Heritage Branch Library, 350 Third Avenue, at 2:00 p.m. Topics include how to avoid being a victim of crime in public areas, and protecting your home and personal property.
