CBP Reminds Travelers of New Border-Crossing Document Requirements

Yuma, Arizona - United States Customs and Border Protection reminds United States and Canadian citizens that new document requirements go into effect on June 1 for entry into United States at land or sea ports. Travelers should apply for approved travel documents now, as it can take several weeks to receive a document that will comply with new requirements under the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative.

Armed Robbery - Suspect in Custody

Yuma, Arizona - Last night, shortly after 10:00 p.m. the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an armed robbery that had just occurred in the vicinity of May Avenue and the West Main Canal. The victims, 54 and a 22 year old men, reported they were walking in the area when a teenage Hispanic male subject wearing a black and white bandanna and a white t shirt ran up to them and pointed a black in color handgun at them.

Yuma, Arizona - May 17-23 has been proclaimed “Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Week” in the City of Yuma by Mayor Nelson. Nationally, this week is used to highlight the contributions of those whose responsibility it is to provide emergency medical aid in this country.
