Police Fear Chrystal Abren Lopez has Fled to Mexico with Damaris Herrera

Yuma, Arizona - The investigation continues into the disappearance of Damaris Herrera. The updated information indicates Damaris’s mother, Chrystal Abren Lopez has fled to Mexico and had knowledge where Damaris was all along. Detectives believe Damaris Herrera was in Mexico since December 10.

Yuma Fire Department Saves Home from Fireworks Abuse

Yuma, Arizona - On Tuesday December 23, 2008 at 7:00 pm the Yuma Fire Department responded to a report of smoke in a residence in the 400 block of 15th Avenue. Firefighters found the source of the smoke was a small fire in a pile of laundry on the floor of the home. Further investigation determined that the fire was started by “bottle rocket” type fireworks being launched inside the home by a teenaged resident.

Body Carriers Attempt to Fool Douglas Port of Entry Officers

Douglas, Arizona - United States Customs and Border Protection officers were busy this past week as they stopped six drug smugglers concealing marijuana on their bodies. The officers also seized seven additional loads of marijuana concealed in vehicles.

Utah Declared Fastest Growing State - Arizona 2nd

Washington, DC - Utah was the nation’s fastest-growing state between July 1, 2007, and July 1, 2008, as its population climbed 2.5 percent to 2.7 million, according to estimates released today by the U.S. Census Bureau.
