Tucson, Arizona - Border Patrol agents from the Tucson Sector continue vigilance along the border making significant seizures of narcotics in the West Desert. In two different locations on the Tohono O’Odham Indian Reservation, agents seized more than 1,320 pounds of marijuana. |

Tucson, Arizona - Manuel Adolfo Valle-Celaya, 48, of Sahuarita, Arizona, was sentenced to 12 years in prison by U.S. District Judge Raner C. Collins. Valle-Celaya pleaded guilty on September 8, 2008, to conspiracy to distribute over 1000 pounds of marijuana. |

San Luis, Arizona - Customs and Border Protection Field Operations at the San Luis port of entry seized more than 500 pounds of marijuana, more than 44 pounds of methamphetamine, and more than 16 pounds of cocaine in four separate instances from this past Friday to Monday, arresting five persons in connection with the failed smuggling attempts. |
