Yuma, Arizona - Arizona Western College is welcoming new students with open arms. As a new student, sometimes there are preconceived notions of how college life will be. To help assist with this, AWC is proud to present “3C The Journey Begins”Student and Parent Orientation. The orientation will be held on Saturday, August 15th in the AS Building from 8 am to 2 pm. 

Yuma, Arizona - AWC Small Business Development Center, the Yuma County Chamber of Commerce and the U.S. NAVFAC SW, present a FREE Seminar for Yuma small business owners and managers. The free seminar will identify local contractors for business opportunities at MCAS and YPG. Attendance is not restricted to those who do business directly with the government, but open to all relevant businesses.

Yuma, Arizona - Although he has already taken his oath of office, Councilmember Douglas J. Nicholls, P.E. will be formally sworn in on Wednesday, August 5th at the beginning of the regularly scheduled City Council Meeting.

Yuma, Arizona - Arizona Western College announced that the 2009 Arizona Western Girls’ Basketball Camp will be held Monday through Thursday, August 3rd through the 6th at Woodard Junior High School’s gymnasium in Yuma. AWC Women’s Head Basketball Coach Patrick Cunningham, Assistant Coach Stephanie Jauregui as well as current and former Lady Matadors’ basketball players will provide expert instruction to up-and-coming girls' basketball players of all skill levels.
