Through the generosity of private sponsors, she has distributed more than 500,000 free books to first and fourth grade students in Arizona since 2003.

Yuma, Arizona - The Arizona Western College men’s basketball team will officially commence their 2007-08 basketball season Friday as they host Grand Canyon JV at ‘The House’ on the AWC Campus. The Matadors enter the game ranked 17^th in the NJCAA Preseason Poll, which is the 3^rd time in the last four seasons that the Matadors have received a national ranking to begin the season.
