Addition of Biopacs Enhances Student Learning Opportunities

Arizona Western College is excited to announce the addition of 6 Biopac Systems and laptops to the Biology Department. The faculty in the Biology Department presently teach 23 Anatomy and Physiology classes a year at the College. Lab experiments and demonstrations are difficult to accomplish without the proper tools.

San Luis, Arizona - During the past seven days, CBP officers have proven their ability to detect and interdict drug-smuggling attempts, stopping six individuals attempting to smuggle a total of more than 440 pounds of marijuana into the country.

Yuma Sector Border Patrol Agent Assaulted by Illegal Alien

Yuma, Arizona - Border Patrol agents assigned to the Yuma Sector were assaulted Thursday evening by a man wielding a shovel. About 7:45 p.m., agents working near County 9 ¼ Street saw two men who were carrying shovels, illegally enter the United States. The men went into a date palm orchard and began digging up two palms. As agents approached, one of the men raised his shovel and charged toward an agent.
