Yuma, Arizona - United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Officer Henry M. Gauani, 41, and his wife Flora A. Gauani, 46, both of Yuma, pleaded guilty on Thursday, June 18, 2009, to conspiracy to commit bribery and conspiracy to import “ecstasy”, a schedule one controlled substance.

Fire Strikes Yuma Residence on South 2nd Street

Yuma, Arizona - This morning at about 9:15 am a fire was reported in the 800 block of South 2nd Avenue. Arriving Yuma Fire Department personnel found heavy smoke and fire coming from 824 South 2nd Avenue. The fire was contained to that residence and extinguished. The building and contents sustained heavy damage, with sections of the roof collapsing.
